Thematic SequencesThematic sequences are "mini minors" and require 9 hours in a sequence of 3 courses outside your major department. There are predetermined thematic sequences to choose from and they are listed in the bulletin.
You also have the option to create your own thematic sequence. Just as with a minor, you must declare your thematic sequence in the department office of the thematic sequence you choose (i.e. if you choose EDP1, you must declare in the Educational Psychology office). Typically, students declare their thematic sequence when you're ready to begin the 2nd of the 3 courses. A couple of the courses you already take for your degree requirements can double-dip as the first course in your thematic sequence (depending on which you choose). Although you are welcome to do any thematic sequence outside the Art Department, here are a few suggestions for thematic sequences where the first course is already embedded: EDP1, EDP2, EDP3 Suggested Course Plan |
